Welcome to Fowey and the surrounding villages! And if you are here with a family that includes small children, a great way to engage them with the delights of mid Cornwall is to connect with Caroline at The Meadow Barns Centre, near Par.
A children's author, musician and ex teacher, she offers a great range of mainly outdoor activities, similar in style to 'Forest School'. At the heart will always be short stories, of local characters, their mining dreams and disasters and their sustainability solutions. From crushing rocks to tree planting or strawbale building, if you want to play your part for a greener future this is the person who will help you do it, assisted by Mr. Treffry the Green Hero of Fowey, either at the centre or on local walks.
A family car pricing policy operates - one fee for a vehicle with up to 6 humans and (in most places) 1 or 2 dogs. There's a discount if you come by a more environmentally friendly method.
To book, please just explain your interests in a text and Caroline will help you choose the length and content that will suit you best, from the minimum of an hour playing at the Adventure Site, up to half a day on a 'Story Walk' or Climate Hope event. 07967 653346
