Play in Fowey
There is a wealth of things to see and do in and around the Fowey estuary, browse this section for great ideas on some of the leisure activities and attractions that are on offer. A holiday in Cornwall would not be complete without a trip to the beach, our beach guide will give you details of those close to the Fowey Estuary. We also have a great many places of interest in the area including historical sites, landmarks, nearby towns and villages, fabulous gardens and some fascinating houses and castles.
Those of you who are keen on walking will find the area overflowing with routes, we are of course ideally placed for the South West Coast Path, but you can also enjoy exploring the estuary and surrounding countryside.
Getting out on the water is another must when here in Fowey, take a look at our on the water guide for some ideas. Fowey is a centre for sailing and the estuary is ideal for exploring by kayak. It is great fun to rent a self-drive motor boat and explore the estuary as Captain of your own "ship"! Alternatively, look at our trips & tours section as there are many escorted boat trips and guided walks available.
Canoeing, cycling, fishing, golf and horse riding are all activities available in the area, we also have details of things to do on a rainy day, family attractions, leisure centres and parks.
